Official Contest Rules

 

1. No Purchase Necessary: No purchase is required to enter or win this contest.

2. Eligibility: The contest is open to legal residents of Nova Scotia who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry.

3. Entry Restrictions: 

   • One entry per person.

   • Members of Rotary Halifax Harbour, volunteers, vendors, or sponsors and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible to participate in the contest.

4. Prize Collection: The winner must collect their prize from Moosehead Cold Beer Store (656 Windmill Rd, Dartmouth, NS B3B 1B8).

5. Identification: Photo identification is required to pick up the prize.

6. Winner's Details: By entering the contest, the winner agrees that their details may be shared with Moosehead Breweries for the purpose of facilitating the claiming of the prize.

7. Entry Period: Entries are accepted up to the time of the draw, which will take place on July 1, 2024, at 5:00 PM AST at Harbourside RibFest, Alderney Landing.

8. Entry Confirmation: Entries will be confirmed by email and text message. Ensure that your contact information is accurate and up-to-date.

9. Winner Selection: One winner will be randomly drawn on July 1, 2024, at 5:00 PM AST at Harbourside RibFest, Alderney Landing. The winner will be notified via the provided email and phone number.

10. Claim Period: The winner has 90 days from the date of notification to claim their prize. If the prize is not claimed within this period, an alternate winner may be selected.

11. Prize Details: The prize is a Moosehead Toolbox Fridge. The actual prize may differ from the image. The prize has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation. We make no warranty regarding the fitness for purpose or quality of the prize.

12. Data Privacy: Unless you opt-in to our mailing list, all entry details will be deleted from our system within 180 days of the prize draw.

13. Publicity: By entering the contest, the winner agrees to the use of their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

14. General Conditions:

    • Harbourside RibFest, run by Rotary Halifax Harbour, reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Harbourside RibFest’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by Harbourside RibFest in its sole discretion.

    • Harbourside RibFest reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

15. Limitation of Liability: By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Harbourside RibFest, Rotary Halifax Harbour, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

16. Governing Law: The contest and these Official Rules are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the substantive laws of Nova Scotia and applicable federal laws without regard to conflicts of laws principles.
