Jon Hines, a prodigious blues artist from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, has swiftly made his mark on the Canadian music scene. Throughout his burgeoning career, Jon has toured extensively across Canada, earning acclaim and several notable distinctions along the way. In 2023, he was nominated for Music Nova Scotia's Blues Recording of the Year, following his 2022 nomination for the East Coast Music Association's Blues Recording of the Year. Additionally, he clinched the East Coast Blues Society's "Maritime to Memphis Blues Challenge."

As a dedicated advocate for local music, Jon serves as a board member of Cape Breton Music. He is also an endorsed artist by prominent music brands such as Black Mountain Picks, Godin Guitars, and Wild Dog Stomp boxes. His track "A Pale Blue Dot" has received considerable radio play across Canada, the UK, and the United States, further solidifying his presence in the blues genre. Moreover, Jon has collaborated with Joe Murphy, forming a duo that showcases their profound musical synergy.

Jon has been recognized as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for two consecutive years, 2017 and 2018.
